The greatest lessons are those you don’t remember learning

The art of photography wasn’t taught to me. I didn’t have a book with the right camera setting, nor did I have a teacher of this form of art. Yet as soon as I found my dad’s old camera hidden in the back of the cupboard, my curious self couldn’t help but go and investigate such unique object.

The moment I turned the camera switch on and and the small red light flashed, I couldn’t help but feel like I had already learnt something, and this feeling wanted to carry on. So I took photos. I took photos of everything I saw without thinking of how the image would turn out, nor was I thinking about the lighting or the composition of the image.

But slowly I’m starting to get to know these things. I’m learning, and the more I learn, the more I love it. So while I’m not the greatest photographer, I still wish to share my small achievements with the world.
