Small Immensities

One of the days that I spent in the Australian Capital, consisted of visiting the National Bonsai and Penjing Collection.

It was beautiful to see these mesmerizing plants and their tiny details that you would only be able to find while standing in front of a gigantic tree that has lived for more than 100 years. These small bonsai trees are tortured, twisted and bent until they gain the shape and size that is pleasing to the human eye. And, while I believe that such torture should be banished, the results from it still amazes me every time I see it.

These minute tree have so much more to tell than their size shows the eye.
